Route 6 passes through Greenwood while cutting across the northwest corner of Cass County This 1950s postcard touts the scenery along Route 6 (i.e., it does not follow the Platte River Valley!). Greenwood is listed among most of the towns along the route.

Another scenic route across Nebraska, Route 20 the second longest transcontinental, traverses the northen part of the state. Like 6 it avoids the Platte River Valley. (1950s postcard)
